The Bougainvillea has a main bedroom with a double bed and a single sofa bed in the living room. There is a private bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen.
Direct access to a shared patio where one can enjoy breakfast under the shade of a bougainvillea.

Visitor Access

Guests have access to the entire property.

Both the airport and port are a 25-minute drive from/to the apartment. Taxi services are available and we could help you arrange this for your convenience. Alternatively, you can opt to rent a car directly from the airport or port, which can be returned on the day of your departure.

If you visit the island by car or motorbike you can park it at our private parking near the house.

We recommend renting a small-sized car as the streets in Emporio are narrow.

This was our first time in Santorini, a dream come true, and we are so happy that we stayed at Barbarossa Suites.

The welcome upon our arrival was professional and friendly, providing all the necessary practical information for our stay and the places to see on the island. In addition, the information booklet available in the room had good suggestions of places to visit and addresses to eat. They were all tested and can confirm that they were excellent choices.

The room was clean and had everything one needs and decorated tastefully. The kitchen was fully equipped to prepare coffee/tea, your meal and even had nice wine glasses to enjoy the bottle you bring from the wineries one can visit on the island.

The view from the terrace across the village and the sea, along with the outside jacuzzi were our go-to-place to share a romantic moment.

The location of the village is perfect for day-trips to the numerous island attractions and the private parking was much appreciated.

Either for a romantic getaway or for a family or friend excursion, this is an ideal location and I cannot wait to go back.

Note: Emporio village is so much worth spending time in for the architecture and the small hidden churches, the colours and the two cafés in the traditional part of the village and the shop. And the people are so friendly.

 10Verified We are planning to invite friends to jojn us again soon this summer! ☺ We came back for the third time to Barbarossa Suites in Emporio - Santorini and we could hardly wait to see the place now that it is fully renovated and we were so happy! We are fond of this accommodation, located on the hillside, right in the middle of the traditional heart of Emporio. Cars cannot enter, so you can only walk among the bougainvilleas, whose bright colors adorn the white walls of the houses. Despite this romantic isolation, all the facilities, shops, and supermarkets, are only a few minutes away. There is also a little tavern only a few yards from us. From the terrace, we could also see the sea, which is very near. The apartment can accommodate three persons, but there are also two more available, one for two and one for eight people. We noted how all are very clean and well kept, have their entry, a separate, well-equipped kitchen, and Even an outside jacuzzi. The rooms felt comfortable and lively. The lady responsible for the reception and service is a friendly, always available professional, ready to give a hand for all sorts of necessities. Nd what really tipped the scale is the very exceptional facility of your own private parking lot. ☹ We positively loved everything!  We have always looked to this place as the ideal refuge where to enjoy the sun, the clean air, the silence for complete relaxation. It is what we needed to recharge our batteries.
